Yes, Its Angels and Demons by Dan Brown.. Haha! Why just now? Hmmm... I cant think of a good reason either. Its just that, I dont like to get my interest into something (not just books) that got the interest of so many unless i really like it.. Yea I know... ;p but when i heard my cousin totally raving about this book, i decided to buy myself a copy. And after reading, I wondered, Why the hell havent I read this book earlier??! It usually takes me more than an hour to decide which book to buy when visiting the bookstore, Ive seen Angels and Demons lots of time but never even given it a second glance! I should have just taken this book and saved myself wasted time in deciding. This book is so exciting it just took me 3 days to finish and i almost forgot to breath reading it! Btw, this is my all time favorite... The Alchemist by Paolo Coelho. It changed my life. :) Labels: alchemist, angels and demons, paolo coelho DIY: Origami box

I first saw this type of origami box when a co-worker saw it just in front of our shop window left by a guest (a kid i guess)... We were so amazed that me, (who thought it'll be a perfect box for my guest souvenir packaging) and another co-worker (who is in charge of our shop displays and is into crafts) disassembled the box to see how its made. After trying a couple times, here's my work...Presenting! My first ever (and last?) DIY... Origami box! whahahah.. :p plus points: unique ; japaneesy; perfect size for my guest souvenirs negative points: needs 16 mini origami paper to make just 1 box; takes 1 hour to make; origami paper delicate i hope i could make 100 boxes in time without getting tired of it!! Another hard decision... I've contacted several designers for my dream gown... others too pricey, others just didn't clique, blahblah and blah.. Jorge Palmos (my designer) and his wife Ms Olie, are nice, patient and prompt. After exchanging couple of emails, ive decided for this design.. sigh. can't wait to see my gown! Have you seen my rings? my engagement ring Here, ill show you... our wedding rings perfect. :D Labels: engagement, rika kaye, wedding ring Our Caricature!
Ive been wanting a wedding caricature ever since Kaye and I decided to get married.. Looking for an artist was never a problem with me... Working at USJ, i work with them everyday, but having the perfect caricature gave us a hard time! Now Finally, after asking "few" artists for our wedding caricature, here it is!!! The caricature that both Kaye and I liked. :)Labels: caricature, rika kaye wedding wedding wedding!
Kaye and I are getting married! :)Being an overseas bride, it took me almost a year to plan and finalize important details for the biggest day of our lives... Our Church: NUESTRA SENORA DE GRACIA Popularly known as the Guadalupe Ruins is Makati's oldest church. It is historical and beautiful, perfect for an intimate wedding like ours! ;)
My hardest search! Ive considered Oasis (too large), Makati Parks & Garden (didnt like it), PSE (dont like the name ;p), etc.. Its really hard to decide when you couldnt see the places in person. Lepanto Penthouse is a pretty place that has an overlooking veranda that will give you a sight of the Makati City nightlights... Not as grand as hotels yet its simple and elegant. :) Labels: kaye, lepanto, nsdg, rika, wedding |
